Oklahoma

I should've gotten a picture of the cargo van that we drove down to Oklahoma in. We set up a little bed in the back for me to sleep and it ended up being the perfect size ot fit the motorcyle. It was kinda fun! But I did get pictures of lots of babies. We stayed with Steph and Cory. Here is Tanner with thier little girl, Kaia.We also hung out with Anna, Philip, and Lois. Thier lattest edition to the family is Ethan. I loved how cuddly he is!He loved to sit on my lap and push the buttons on my phone. So, I got baby fever again, of course! But I know babies change your world, so I'm still ok that we don't have any yet.

Roomies!

While we were in Hershey for Caleb's wrestling, I got to hang out with some old friends. Kim came down from Emmaus and we explored Messiah College together as we caught up. Then Michelle met me in Hershey where we ate at Isaccs, walked around the Outlets, and rode the ride at the Hershey factory. Michelle is really good at taking pictures of herself so we gave it a try even though the sun was in a bad spot. Beautiful!

Spring Break!!!

So much to say about our Spring Break Trip(s)!!! I'll probably spread it out between several posts. Our first stop was Pennsylvania State High School Wrestling Finals. Lots of wrestling, and also lots of extra time for me catch up with good friends and make a quick trip back to Messiah. Caleb won
States with no trouble which made for a very fun weekend! I got some good pictures of the Jumbo Tron. I couldn't get close enough for any good wrestling pictures.

Congrats Caleb!

Vacation!

In the real world, when you take a vacation, there is more work to do before you leave and after you get back to make up for it! Not that the vacation is not worth it. But that is my excuse for not getting any pictures up this week, and depending on my internet savyness (is that a word?), there probably won't be any posts until we get back. But we will putting lots of miles behind us as we go first to Hershey, PA for Pennsylvania High School Wrestling States, Snowshoe, WV for some skiing with my family, and Stillwater, OK to retrieve Tanner's motorcycle. Can't wait!

District 10 Championships

Tanner and I went up to Grove City again this weekend for another wrestling tournament. We are coming to the end of the season. Nana and Darrilyn came up for the weekend to watch too. It was fun to see both of them. Darrilyn and Debra are funny individually ... but when you put them together it is downright hysterical! Here is a picture of Debra with her mom and sister.
And here is Caleb enjoying spending time with his Grandmother.

And Caleb with the rest of the PIAA District 10 Champions.

Spring In February

It felt like spring this weekend. When I woke up, birds were chirping. And I managed to pick up the poop in the yard. The past few years that hasn't happened until April when I am left with buckets full of moldy, soggy dog poo. And, on Sunday, the sun was shining! That is a rarity here, so I had to take advantage of it. I did some looking online and decided to venture out and try to find a rails-to-trails thing about 30 minutes from here. I did have to stop and get directions on my way, at which point a cute little pitt bull calmly kept an eye on Diesel.
It was a nice little trail. A little mushy yesterday, but it runs right along the Mon river with what is probably very beautiful landscape any other time of the year. Yesterday everything was still pretty brown. We walked about 5 miles I think. That was half of it. It is exciting to know there are places like that close. Oh, and I had to get a picture of this sculpture along the trail. I need to read the plaque on his back next time and find out how he got there!

Wrestling Champ

Tanner and I got to go up to Grove City to watch Tanner's little brother Caleb wrestle at a huge invitational his school hosts every year. Caleb is amazing. He is going to Nebraska on a wrestling scholarship, so it's not just his family that thinks he's good! Here are some pictures I tried to take while he was wrestling. I'm still learning with the action shots and he doesn't make it easy when he keeps pinning kids in the first few seconds of the matches!
