Merry Christmas

Tanner actually brought up the idea that Drake would be really cute if he dressed up for Christmas. Unfortunately, by the time I got to the stores to look for something, they were pretty much picked clean ... especially in the big sizes. But I did get some festive collars for them.

Steelers Game

Tanner and I got to go to a Steelers game before Christmas with some friends. We had pretty good seats and didn't have any trouble seeing what was going on on the field. The whole game was pretty impressive. Ben broke some kind of passing record, and they barely won. It was super good at the end ... but at that point we were drinking hot chocolate and warming up back at Jon and Lauren's place!

Ready For Santa

OK, so not quite ... but getting really close. Today we finally got the tree up. I'm pretty proud of the ornaments I made. Here is a picture of three of them. I made a whole bunch of the stocking shaped ones really quickly. The cross stitch ones took a lot longer! And the rag ball was again ... very quick and easy. I also made a tree skirt, which is honestly so hidden under the tree I could have saved my time! And here is the finished product! Come on Santa! We're ready!

VMI Powerlifting

One of Tanner's friends put on a powerlifting meet at The Virginia Military Institute where he teaches and coaches. Ironically, my sister Julie lives in the same town. So we drove down this weekend so Tanner could compete and I could hang out with my sister. Tanner did really well with the bench press and got his PR which was somewhere in the 500s. Sorry I don't remember the exact number. If you are curious, just ask him!
