The New Pad

I took a bunch of pictures today, although I forgot to take any outside. We'll have to save that for another day. So when you walk in the front door, here is what you see:

And if you walk through, and turn around, here is what you see:

Off of the living room is my office. Behind that curtain is kinda a walk-in closet:

On the other side of the living room is the door for our bedroom:

When you walk straight through the living room, into the hallway, here is what you see:

The first door in the hallway takes you to Lincoln's room:

The second door in the hallway goes to the kitchen:

Also there are two bathrooms, but the one we are using as laundry/storage, and the other isn't really exciting enough to take pictures! Not to shabby! It is small, but not unbearably so. We have room for what we need and not much else. I think that is a pretty good way to live, I guess! Come and see us sometime!

11 months!

I got some really cute pictures for Lincoln's 11 month shoot. He loves to stand up if he can hold on to something!

The Beach!

So, I just realized it would be great to post pictures of the new house here. I will try to do that soon. Now that Lincoln is a year old, I don't plan on doing pictures every month, so hopefully I'll be able to get back to doing what I did before he was born. That means posting something little here every week or so of what is going on in our lives. To start that off ... and since I never really got around to a 1 year photo shoot ... I used our trip to the beach this weekend with Julie as a little photo shoot. The pictures turned out great! It's hard not to get great pictures at the beach during sunset I think.

He really wasn't into the water and the waves, but was pretty happy to play in the sand and crawl around. It was pretty entertaining! And the beach is only an hour and a half away ... which is great unless there is a hurricane coming. I'll have to let you know how that goes!

4th of July

Lincoln had his first plane ride over 4th of July weekend. We went to Nashville with all of Tanner's family. It is always a great time! Here are some pictures courtesy of Debra:

10 months!

We are into the double digits! And, I got myself a netbook for Mother's Day/ my birthday present ... so this is my first post from my new toy. Gotta admit I'm not quite used to the keyboard yet, so it is taking longer to type than usual, but I'm also sitting on my porch while Lincoln weeds my garden ... so, so far, it is worth it!

The rose is looking awesome! And Lincoln's espressions are hysterical now.

9 months!!

These ones are my favorite bunch yet. Probably because we got to go outside!!!

I know the one picture looks like he is crawling, but he doesn't really move from that position without flopping to his belly first. He is getting to be a rather proficient army crawler though! I am really enjoying him at this age. He is getting much better naps and we are communicating better. The combination of those two things mean way more fun for both of us!

8 Months

So, for now it seems my weekly blog has turned into a monthly blog. I am just going to be ok with that. Maybe it will pick up again this summer when I have more time and we are doing more things. But for now, here are some funny pictures of Lincoln.

Already reading like a champ. But he can't talk yet, so he can't read to us. He just reads in his head.

These sunglasses are the best! He is really sensitive to sunlight in is eyes, so he loves these things and leaves them on for the most part. It is hysterical going places with him wearing them. He gets a laugh out of just about everyone!

We were checking out the Easter outfit. He wasn't sure what to think about the new shoes!

I think this is my favorite shirt so far. I'm not looking forward to the day when he picks out his own clothes. Dressing him is so much fun!

And trying out our new sun-protective hat. No sun that day outside, but maybe soon?
