I know the one picture looks like he is crawling, but he doesn't really move from that position without flopping to his belly first. He is getting to be a rather proficient army crawler though! I am really enjoying him at this age. He is getting much better naps and we are communicating better. The combination of those two things mean way more fun for both of us!

8 Months
So, for now it seems my weekly blog has turned into a monthly blog. I am just going to be ok with that. Maybe it will pick up again this summer when I have more time and we are doing more things. But for now, here are some funny pictures of Lincoln.
Already reading like a champ. But he can't talk yet, so he can't read to us. He just reads in his head.
These sunglasses are the best! He is really sensitive to sunlight in is eyes, so he loves these things and leaves them on for the most part. It is hysterical going places with him wearing them. He gets a laugh out of just about everyone!

We were checking out the Easter outfit. He wasn't sure what to think about the new shoes!
I think this is my favorite shirt so far. I'm not looking forward to the day when he picks out his own clothes. Dressing him is so much fun!

And trying out our new sun-protective hat. No sun that day outside, but maybe soon?

Bike Ride!
Spring is here! For today anyway. The temps were up in the 60s and everyone was out and about! We went down to Morgantown on the bike trail to try out Lincoln's trailer.
He did really well! Plus, it was really fun people watching on the trail. Lincoln got a little fussy right by a dog park, so we sat on a bench there to feed him and watched the activity at the dog park. That was entertaining too. Almost as entertaining as people watching on the trail.
I have to get in a little bit of practice with my new bike shoes before I try them on pavement. But man, do they look good!
I'm getting excited. This bike vacation idea is really going to work!

6 Months
I gotta warn you, I'm in a sour mood. I'm really frustrated that my sister is watching the Super Bowl in Antarctica, and I can't even get the radio to stream on my computer. I'm stuck checking the play-by-play on Fox news every few minutes. I should have taken my mom up on her offer to watch it at their house. And Tanner apparently had a whopping good time in Morgantown last night because he didn't come home until this afternoon and has been pretty much out of it since he got home. And I've been feeling pretty lonely recently for some reason. Nothing has really changed in that department recently, so I'm not sure why it just hit me, but it makes me feel pathetic that the first person I think about when I want to do something fun is my mom. I really need to make some friends my own age. But then, as soon as I do, we will move again and I'll be back in the same boat. Shoot.
So, I am making the most of it by wearing my new biking shoes around the house, drinking a Green Apple Smirnoff Ice, spending money online since shopping by myself with a 6 month old isn't as easy as I would like it to be and I have no friends close by my age to go shopping with, and checking the Super Bowl play by play every few minutes! Every now and then I whip my terrible towel around just in case it will help them down in Texas. He, he! I crack myself up sometimes.
Enough of my pathetic little pitty party. Lincoln and I had a half-decent photo shoot this morning. He was a little cranky, so it didn't last as long as usual. Most of the pictures did turn out pretty good though, which is new. Most of the time I have to take a million pictures to get a few good ones. He must be getting the hang of what the camera is all about. Or maybe he just enjoys the flash now.

His Valentine's Day shirt.

Love that tongue!

This is my favorite face.
And our Little Steeler's fan is sleeping through his first Super Bowl!
